Team Talk with Dimitra Kalakias
Starting part-time in the industry in 2001 at the tender age of just 15, Dimitra has clearly always had a passion for property. And it took honest, hard work to get to where she is today which can be attributed to her positive attitude, a drive to succeed and determination to always over-deliver for her clients.
After 15 years in Property Management and since returning from maternity leave, she decided to make the leap to sales and still feels the excitement of this new challenge.
“I’ve always loved sales and the buzz of auction day! It’s also really lovely dealing with past landlords and tenants who are now selling or buying.”

We took a moment to chat with Dimitra and find out what she loves about Epping, her career in real estate and working at Love & Co.
What do you love about living/working in the North?
As a lifelong local, I love how the area has seen immense growth over the years, the improvement in infrastructure and the enhanced quality of property, making it an increasingly desirable place to call home.
What has been your most memorable listing/sale/client?
Would have to be my most loyal clients/builders – Joe from Gravina Constructions. He always had faith in me from very early on in my career which meant a lot to me. Throughout my years in Property Management, he referred me to many clients with whom I now have strong relationships with, and for this, I’ll be forever grateful.
What is your stance on the current market?
The market is thriving and it’s refreshing to see that Covid-19 hasn’t impacted the property market. We’ve still been able to assist so many people with buying/selling their dream home despite lockdown restrictions.
What positives do you think have come from the events of 2020 (Covid-19) for the real estate industry?
It has been really impressive the way that everyone has come together to adapt to the changes in technology and the way we continue to go about every day business now.
What do you like most about working at Love & Co?
The family atmosphere 😊
What are the most unique skills and qualities that you feel make your team successful?
I feel it is the positive energy they bring to work every day and the way everyone looks out for each other – like a family does!
What is your favourite local business and why?
Can’t go past Nina’s Cucina in Epping. The team always greet us with the biggest of smiles and their produce is always fresh and delicious. Cannot fault them!!!
